What we offer

Three programmes, designed for three different starting points.

Our approach

How we think about this work

Every household arrives at retirement paperwork from a different position. Some are curious and methodical; they want to understand the landscape before doing anything. Some have a clear idea of what they want but find it hard to sustain momentum without company. Others have reached a point where the breadth of the collection — decades of documents in various formats — feels genuinely unmanageable.

The three Silverfile programmes are designed to meet those three positions. They share the same administrative and educational character, the same commitment to keeping your papers in your hands and the same practice of writing down anything that belongs with a qualified professional rather than with us. What differs is scope and duration.

All programmes are strictly non-regulated. We do not comment on entitlements, offer financial or legal opinions, or act in any advisory capacity on regulated matters.

A quiet room arranged for a conversation

Programme 1

Orientation Consultation

A calm ninety-minute conversation for anyone who wants to understand what is involved in keeping retirement paperwork in order, before deciding whether to do anything at all. The coordinator explains the categories most households end up with, shows an example of a finished document map, walks through publicly published material describing how Malaysian retirement schemes present their own paperwork, and answers general questions.

Educational and informational only. We do not look at your entitlements, comment on regulated matters or act for you. You leave with an understanding of the work involved and no expectation to proceed.

What is included

  • One session of 90 minutes, in person or by video call
  • Example document pack
  • Printed category guide
  • Short written summary of what was discussed

Process

  1. 01 Coordinator introduces the standard document categories
  2. 02 Walkthrough of a completed document map example
  3. 03 Review of publicly published EPF and pension paperwork formats
  4. 04 Open question time — any administrative question welcome
  5. 05 Written session summary sent within two working days

Programme 2

Guided Filing Programme

A six-week programme in which you do the filing and we keep you company through it. Each week a coordinator meets you for 60 minutes, sets a small and achievable piece of work — one drawer, one category, one year — reviews what you completed, and adjusts the plan. Between sessions you have email access for administrative questions.

Built for people who prefer to keep their own papers in their own hands but would like structure and a steady rhythm. Content is administrative and educational; anything touching regulated matters is written into an open-questions list to take to a qualified professional.

What is included

  • 6 sessions of 60 minutes over 6 weeks, one household
  • Weekly plan adapted to your collection
  • Template pack (naming conventions, folder labels)
  • Open-questions list for qualified professionals
  • Completed document map at programme close
  • Email access to coordinator between sessions

Weekly rhythm

  1. 01 Session 1: Scope review, plan drafted, first category assigned
  2. 02–05 Sessions 2–5: Review completed work, next category assigned, plan adjusted
  3. 06 Session 6: Final review, document map completed, open-questions list finalised

Programme 3

Legacy Records Programme

A four-month programme for households wanting their entire administrative history — retirement paperwork, property records, memberships, correspondence — held in one navigable archive that any family member could open and understand. The coordinator inventories, sorts, scans, indexes and labels; writes a full orientation document; establishes a naming convention and storage plan on the family's own devices; and runs two walkthrough sessions plus a final review.

The programme also produces a written open-questions register listing every point that should be taken to a qualified professional, so nothing important is quietly assumed. Strictly non-regulated administrative work throughout.

What is included

  • Up to 16 sessions over 16 weeks
  • Full inventory of the household's collection
  • Indexed digital archive on household's own devices
  • Labelled physical document set
  • Orientation document for family members
  • Open-questions register
  • Two walkthrough sessions and final review
  • Review calendar for annual maintenance

Four-month structure

  1. Month 1 Inventory and sorting — full audit of collection
  2. Month 2 Scanning, indexing, naming convention established
  3. Month 3 Archive built on household devices, labels applied, orientation document drafted
  4. Month 4 Two walkthroughs, open-questions register finalised, review calendar produced
